Market Report Categories - Please note that we are able to turn on or off categories within the reports. The sample shown below may or may not have all of the categories listed here, but we've provided all of the background information anyway, for your edification.Standardized and repetitive analysis instills discipline in trading.
There are ten major areas of interest that should be considered when performing technical analysis and/or creating a trading plan. Categories other than Data Overview focus on what is occurring within the Modes of Behavior. Modes of Behavior normally persist anywhere from 10 - 30 bars until they transition into a new behavior.
Each Category may be view independently so that you may still derive value from them.
Data OverviewData Overview analyses were generated using the most recent 1,000 bars of data from the underlying market.
There are eight rows in the table. The rows describe the underlying market's Mode of Behavior. There are four Modes of Behavior and each one is either Bullish(upside) or Bearish(downside). That means there are eight specific situations that are being described.Modes are listed down the columns as they normally flow or transition. The columns describe three different sets of statistics, further detailed below.
Percent in ModeThis is the percentage of time spent in Mode. While in a Mode, a simple bar count is kept and compared to the 1000 bars in the data set. We've isolated the Highest % in Mode for you.
Point Accumulation in Mode This is the accumulated point change while in a Mode. A simple closes to close difference WHILE the Mode is accumulated. The four bullish Modes of Behavior should acquire positive numbers, while the four bearish Mode of Behavior should acquire negative numbers.
If the Mode of Behavior is a bullish Mode and the Point Accum. is a positive number then that Mode of Behavior may have been successfully traded over the last 1000 bars using our methodology. If a bullish Mode has acquired a negative number then this Mode of Behavior may not have been successfully traded over the last 1000 bars using our methodology.
In this way, you may quickly determine if the methodology has been in accordance with the underlying market.
Furthermore, the Total Accum. is the absolute value of all of the points accumulated in all of the Modes, while the Net is simply bullish Modes vs. bearish Modes. A positive number favors bullish behaviors while a negative number favors bearish behaviors.
Market Mode of Behavior This category offers Eight specific situations that dictate the current trading strategy.
Transitions and Time: This category offers Some background on the current Mode of Behavior.
Standard Analysis The indicator we use to judge whether or not transitions may or may not occur is the Average True Range. We've created the Average True Range Price Percentage Window. It is simply a function of the 10 bar Average True Range, divided by the underlying market's last price. This number tells us about short-term volatility.
Advice How to position yourself using our reports for the clearest path to short-term profits.Alert! Transactions in FOREX, Futures, and Stocks, carry a high degree of risk. No slippage or commissions are included here or in our Statistics tables. Your FCM will charge you a commission.
Natural Attraction The long term price structure may be below the medium term price structure. If this is true, then this intra-day move is mature.
Support & Resistance Trading Band levels are based upon volatility and other proprietary inputs. We suggest using these bands as a guide to trade shorter-term if you are not a medium to longer-term position trader.
Price Growth / Decay This area provides unique growth / decay projections. Growth / decay projections are calculated by taking the highest high or lowest low during the previous Mode of Behavior and measuring the distance from where the
MOB transitions (the price) and subtracting the difference and multiplying by some growth / decay value.
Market Specifications Additional information regarding the underlying market. Initial Margin, Maintenance Margin, Instrument Type, Tick Size, Tick Value, Total Volume.
